To Paul (or anyone else): Can you comment on the differences between battery backup systems and isolation transformers? I need a power device that will protect the modular. Power-up surges may not be a problem...I have multiple power supplies that I turn on sequentially (manually). Why would I use an isolation tranformer rather than a battery backup UPS? If UPS, is a UPS with a sine wave output necessary or desirable? Are there better UPSs for what I want to do? Finally, can you recommend some makes (or models)? Thanks!
