Here's one I just threw together, I'm not sure if anyone has written about it yet: Waveshaper Basics needed: VCO & 700. for modulation, a CV source (LFO, EG, etc) and a CV mixer, and/or another VCO Both switches are set to voltage Take a sine or triangle from a VCO into Y of the 700 Plug C into A, and D into B X will be the output If you're using the sine from the VCO, plug the triangle into both CV inputs (or vice versa) Moving the knobs changes the waveform of the output signal. If you first take the CV wave from the VCO, and mix it with another CV source, and then plug it into the CV inputs, you can get some modulation of the waveshaping, with different breakpoints being set by the knobs. If you plug another VCO into the top CV input, you can get some weird FM stuff happening. -Chris On Sep 22, 2006, at 3:03 PM, Jason Proctor wrote: > another one, probably obvious to most 700 drivers ... > > 3-way switch > > ingredients - > 3 signal sources > MOTM-700 > CV source, preferably bipolar (eg MOTM-320) > mult > > connections - > CV source -> both MOTM-700 CV inputs > signal source 1 -> MOTM-700 IO A > signal source 2 -> MOTM-700 IO B > MOTM-700 IO X -> MOTM-700 IO C > signal source 3 -> MOTM-700 IO D > MOTM-700 IO Y is the output > > settings - > MOTM-700 mode at audio or voltage depending on flavour of signal > sources > MOTM-700 top switch bias knob at 10 o'clock > MOTM-700 bottom switch bias knob at 2 o'clock > > the CV will then switch between the 3 input sources. the difference > between the two switch bias knobs is the size of the window where > signal 2 is selected. standard noise->S&H isn't a very good switcher > here because of its bell curve distro, some tweaking of the window > size is required. > > let's have more 700 patches! > > enjoy > j > > >
