Yup, I saw that when it first came out. Confirms what I thought - that Paul and I are roughly the same age. I was already aware of moogs by then though - my dad, who's a pretty well known astronomer, got an invite by Roger Mcguinn to "help" him with some lyrics for some sci-fi based songs he was writing (CTA-102 and another come to mind). Apparently from my dads vague recounting of the evening, there were some mood alterations involved, but he did go on and on about the moog synthesizer he'd gotten to play with that evening. He spent a long time describing how it worked, and the theory behind it, and it all sounded fabulous to my 10 or 11 year old brain. A few years later I discovered that Robert Moog lived and worked right in the same town we were living in, and that there was this band in town called Mother Mallards Portable Masterpiece Company that used 3 of the synths. I started going to all their concerts, but never actually got any hands on time with a synth until going off to college.
