The mighty gears of the MOTM industrial-complex are starting to turn and gain momentum. Kits are being shipping out this week, although just a few to start with. All of the major components are on order, and *so far* the pacing item appears to be tempco resistors (KRL is back to 6-8 weeks delivery, last year they were quoting 3-4). I have finished 15 MOTM-310 uVCO kits, these will start shipping on Saturday. I am also going to ship 5 '650s on Sat and 5 on Monday. Again, for 85% of the new sale orders, the delivery will be the end of August/first of Sept. Shane the tech dropped off some '485 assembled pc boards and picked up 8 '480 sets to stuff next week (then he goes to Brazil for 3 weeks, lucky bastard). I am working on some '300s and some '440s. I have to stop and finish a system assembled in a cabinet to be shipped by Aug. 15th. The "good" news is that I do not foresee any parts *supply* issues (I had one part I had trouble with but that's taken care of). Now we all have to sit and wait for part *delivery* issues. In the meantime the Indiana folks are stuffing ~80,000 parts into little plastic bags. This takes a while :) BTW, the sale is not standing at order #259 (436 kits) if you want to guess where you are in line. Order #106 was the first order of the sale. On the AudioEngine front: I am ordering parts this weekend for engineering breadboards (prototypes are next, these are most definitely breadboards!). I am in the process of upgrading the pcb CAD software (I am using 7 year old stuff now) but it sure costs a lot (about $5500 total). Ack. Paul S.
