That pretty much sums up how I work with my synth. It may take a few days of fiddling with a patch before some small change makes it go from so-so to nice. (Sometimes if it isn't happening, I pull all the patch cords and start fresh.) I view it as an emergent phenomenon. I am wandering around in a field of possibilities, a lot of which are not very interesting.
