Does this mean that I shouldn't get an SKB pop-up mixer case for my MOTM rig? I'm going to be taking my smallish (with one MOTM-800 disassembled and one mult not installed, it fits into 10U high, using rack rails) MOTM rig to a show, and the fact that my current rack case doesn't have a 'front cover' is really starting to worry me- I discovered one of the knobs had been scratched up pretty badly following an event- guess it got rubbed up against something pretty hard. So... for gigging with a smallish rig like this, what should I use? -Geoff Jason Proctor wrote: >well, i was joking, but in many ways i would think, or hope, that >there is a space in the market for an improved case based on the SKB >design. > >the build quality on the SKB case is *crap*. the hinges last about >maybe 5 cycles if you're really careful, and the mechanism for >holding the rack in the popped-up position is dodgy to say the least. >the whole thing is cheap and nasty. > >finally the thing is too big for how many U it holds. > > >
