made a compressor! Also, the Speck ASC is great for the money. Possibly 
excellent is the Summit FeQ - haven't heard one yet.

Don't discount cheap EQs, especially for use with electronic sources. If you 
get something that operates a pro levels, you'll be much closer to modular 
levels. The subtleties of of a high end unit are often lost inside a patch.

Back to semi-on topic: Shadow Hills is rumored to be working on an EQ 
(Pultec or Helios stylee would be my guess).
