When I said I had problems with the V-Drums, all I meant is that I have
the same problems as everyone else as far as crosstalk and false
triggers.  Even if you put each pad on its own stand you get false
triggers.  I sometimes use real cymbals with drum pads.  Hitting the
cymbals causes false triggers.
 
My advantage is that I'm working in a studio setting.  I edit out the
false triggers.
 
I use to have a KAT head with Dauz pads.  Same problem.
 
I would agree that crosstalk adjustments should be front of panel.
 
I think the Roland TD-20 converts to digital then eliminates the
crosstalk, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Alesis does the same.
Digital = Latency.  
 
I think it may be possible to do this without the trimmers, I just would
have to think about it for a while and to run some tests.
 
Doing something with this is a possible Stooge Project, but right now,
the stooges are busy trying to finish the website and get brackets and
flat rails and end caps and cables and panels happening.
 
I will put this in my collection of module ideas for consideration in
the not too distant future.
