MOTM

Paul, a while ago I asked if the 15v voltage gate from my Korg Mono/Poly
would damage the 13v max input of the MOTM Envelope Generator. You suggested
making a cable with a Zener diode in series for this use.
Would it be advisable for me to simply put that diode in series with the
module's Gate In jack as a modification? Would that act as a 'protection'
mechanism for the module in general? Would it do any harm to or reduce any
functionality from the EG?
The problem is that I'm not the only one who uses my studio, so I'd be
afraid to push the Korg up against my modular and have to worry that my
collaborators might use a cable other than the 'special' one for this
purpose. I'd even consider mofifying the Korg but I figure it's easier and
wiser to modify the module.
