a) yes, the LP out is noisy because it's 2 cascaded SVFs, which in turn are 
noisy. This is why I'm (personally) not a big fan of the SVF topology.

b) There are (as of today) only 2 MOTM-480 kits left that have all the resistors 
and axial caps pre-stuffed. When these 2 are sold, then the '480 will be shipped 
"normally" with R &Cs you stuff yourself. The price for the kit will increase 
$20 to cover the labor for this (and I have to add 6 pages to the manual). The 
new kits will not be ready until Feb. 10th, so if you want those 2 left, better 
order!
