Due to the excessive length of the Blacet Time Machine (won't fit it my SKB popup) and a few other factors I'm building a portable cabinet to hold a keyboard, joystick, and one row of modules. In this case one row is going to be 15 U. Of course you can never have all the modules you want, even more so when you have to fit them into 15U. So I now need to decide what modules I'm going to put into this case and which will be relegated to the SKB as an expander. I've got a pretty good idea of what essentials I want to house, but there are some issues I'd be happy to hear opinions on. Here's the list of modules I'm pretty set on. Encore UEG = 2 spaces Blacet TM = 2 spaces EG x3 = 3 spaces uVCA = 1 space QLFO = 1 space 1 300 VCO = 2 space VCF of some sort = 1 or 2 spaces. 1 300 VCO + 2 310 uVCO or 2 300 VCO? I like to do FM stuff which makes sine out of 2 oscillators desirable, but an extra VCO is always nice. Which VCF? I have a uVCF which is fine, but the 420 or 480 seem more versatile. In order to make room I could drop one EG, since the UEG can be used for EG functions as well as step seq. That would allow 2x300, 1x310, and a 2 space VCF. Opinions? Dave
