After long deliberation, I've decided to trim down my already-bulky
Serge Modular system. With pain in my heart, I've realized that this
baby is the one that should get the axe (as much as I love it, I
don't find as indispensable as the others). Built by Rex in the last
year, shipped to me about 4 months ago (ask him!). It's a really
dense, self-sufficient system that can be a perfect beginner's
panel, able to generate up to 2 voices on its own (no need for
others).
Here's the make-up:
Three PCO's
One Dual Comparator
One Mixer (3x1)
One (incredible) Variable Bandwidth Filter (main reason I'll miss it
the most!!)
Two ADSR
One UAP
So there: you get THREE oscillators, with a dual comparator to do
pulse-width modulation, an audio mixer, a great filter, TWO voltage-
controlled DADSR's and a UAP. PCO's (as you know) can also be used
as LFO's, and you can get gates from them with the COMP.
