Filling via holes: Necessary?

Well I almost completed eight MOTM PCBs in two days, including three really 
dense ones.  Now I get to the place that tells me to solder in the via holes. 
 Is this really necessary ?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
