Unless you use CV-control on that parameter. Each setting needs to be set equal before starting though, so I do see your point. If you were to control a polyphonic modular, you would probably need a collective "remote" control panel of common settings, like VCO tuning, VCF cutoff, envelope settings, LFO speed and so forth.
