a) OK, the '650 buttons are fixed. I was going to ask about the keycap colors 
<snicker>...... Mouser has 7 colors, you can pick your own
if you don't like the defaults. The part number is 633-AT4058x where x=color 
code letter. You will just have to wait to see what I picked :)

b) the SMT layout of the LED/pushbutton board is a bitch. There are 43 parts 
that go in-between the LED/switch leads. And a 20pin, 2mm pitch connector that 
goes up to the main CPU board. But I expect it will be done by tomorrow. Then 
the last board to lay out is the CPU/DAC board: the only thing tricky about it 
is to properly position the LCD display module.

I'm trying my best to have a 'real' demo version at the AH meeting in Oakland on 
Oct 16th. If not, I'll drag out the large prototype. Hope to see some of you 
there.

c) I am "firing" my local sheet metal vendor and switching over to my 'backup' 
supplier in WA state. They have been supplying 1/2 of the front panels anyway. 
Now they will be doing the rails. I only have about 5 pair left. I am ordering 
*60 pairs* of rails which I hope will last a while. They are quoting a 3 week 
turn. I am *out* of 1U blanks, but am ordering 60 more tomorrow. The '910s are 
also out, ordering 40 more of those. The last batch of local panels are due this 
coming Friday ('101 and '420s). Dealing with sheet metal, as Larry can attest, 
is frustrating at best.

d) The much-delayed '310 kits receive focus this week after I finish the '650 
LED board. Note that I have <6 '300 kits left, I will have to make up another 
batch at the end of the month.
