Well, I finally got around to turning talk into action tonight and cut and drilled out the first one of "Larry's magic bus" as the thing got dubbed some time ago. Essentially, this is a horizontal multiple panel that is designed for the big ole' wood case approach. The bus is 7/8" tall and 42" wide (that's 24 MOTM units). I duplicated Paul's spacing (as close as I could tell) for Switchcraft jacks on the MOTM panels. So, each jack is spaced on 7/8" centers with the end jacks centered 7/16" from the end. When this multiple and normalling patch bay is installed directly under one row of MOTM modules it will look almost like one more row of jacks on the bottom of each panel. Now, I just need to get busy and make some more and look for a paint shop. I do like the way it turned out since the space allocated for each jack is 7/8" both wide and tall.
