Hi All ! Seems like we're going for the longest thread here, so i'll add my bit :) Many years ago i bought a "Portasol Model P-1K Cordless-Refillable Butane Gas-Power'd Soldering Tool Kit" (sic) . This contains, besides a torch "plug-in", catalytic hot-knife, soldering bit, a catalytic driven hot air thing . Works well on small schrinks, never tried on big ones . The hot air will melt solder, and boil pvc insulation, but it will not burn or scorch it like a torch, even those small ones, when they work . Bought two, VERY unreliable, not worth the money . The only pocket type torch with piezo which i know that works well, is the "Pocket Burner 2 by Prince" . Sadly unavailable in Europe (tell me otherwise), i got one in Tokyo in '93, busted it by filling with a bad gas refill, grrrr ... Bye for now . Keep 'em oscillating :) Hugo =
