Count on about 20-25%.... if UPS ships it, count on about 30-35% total. Cheapest method by far is USPS. When it comes into Canada, it's a $5 brokerage charge, plus taxes & duties. UPS charges based on value, so brokerage on $1000 would be around $100 or even more plus taxes, duties, etc. Everyone in Canada pay attention: DON'T SHIP EXPENSIVE ITEM INTO CANADA VIA UPS. . Hi all, This is my first post here, so .... hi. This is a question aimed at the Canadian list members, so if that's a truly tiny minority, feel free to email me back off-list. I'm based in Montreal and was planning on picking up some modules (first some of the filters/power supply/rails/etc, then later on some oscs/vcas/etc.). So probably $700/ 800USD in one go, provided that can be done in terms of logistics on Paul's end. Having never bought anything above, say, $100USD from the US I was wondering if you guys had any conclusions regarding the amount of duties customs slaps on. Obviously the fact the modules are US-made helps in regards to NAFTA, but what does that mean at the end of the day in financial terms? I'm leaning towards kits, if that matters. Shipping time is less of a concern, but I'd be curious to know that as well, if it's possible to generalise. Any help greatly appreciated. Matthew _____ Yahoo!
