RE: [motm] Mounting Synth.com modules w/ MOTM system

Chad, the widths are different. People do mix these in the same cabinets.
But, the MOTM module is approximately 1.75" wide (per-U) and the dot com
module is 2.125" wide. But, there is another problem if you are trying to
mount dot com modules using a MOTM rail mounting system. The MOTM module
line allows 0.5 inches top and bottom for the mounting rail. Dot com allows
only 0.4". I did mount some on rack rails one time, but I had to do a
little trimming on the bent back part of the dot com module face plate (I
used a nibbler).

Subject: [motm] Mounting Synth.com modules w/ MOTM system

Hello,

I am thinking about adding a Synth.com module to a line of MOTM
modules. The Synth.com module is of comparable dimension to a MOTM EG.
Can one drill new rack holes on the Synth.com module plate and have it
fit in on a MOTM rack rail? Or is the physical width slightly
different than the MOTM modules?

Thanks
