I spoke to Robert today. He's in remarkably good spirits (IMHO) considering
this mishap, and asked me to post a message here to say that he's doing well
and has not cancelled any of his musical plans and obligations, including
his concert in June and his imminent collaboration with Ian Boddy. He did
allow that he's fortunate that he does not make his living as a jazz
pianist, and that it will be a challenge to regain the range of motion and
dexterity necessary to play his handmade flutes.
