Yup, I've been using Cakewalk since its DOS days. I use Sonar 4 Producer Edition: if Paul is calling Logic giant, then so is Sonar. Another one to consider is Ableton Live 4 - nice MIDI implementationa nd it will seamlessly add loopage, too. The now-defunct Techno Toys Seq 808 is the best (IMO) simple software step sequencer for Windows. My Kyma is BAD ASS at MIDI, too.
