MOTM

On the topic of trig/gate extraction - for an instrument like a guitar, 
does the gate drop when a new note is picked before the last one has 
rung out on typical envelope gate extractors?  I was guessing no, and in 
order to get a retrigger you'd have to use some sort of differentiator 
on the raw envelope to extract triggers.

Thoughts?
