To All: I've just completed an MOTM version of Marc Bareille's Polyvoks VCF clone. I had purchased a couple of his pcb's after breadboarding his circuit with excellent results. Check it out at http://m.bareille.free.fr/modular1/vcf_polivoks/vcf_polivoks.htm if you need something different. The schematic will make you do a double take, however. It looks like a normal two pole filter until you clean your glasses and find NO CAPS! The current-programmable op amps are used to limit the gain bandwidth. This makes for a rather quiet filter. This filter begs to be overdriven and a drive control at the audio input is a nice addition. The overdrive sound is smooth and very pleasant with any waveform. The range of self-resonance is limited (no, I didn't measure it...)to about 300Hz-above audio. High Q settings are very wild. Perfect for irritating the family! I tried to stay with the Soviet Military motif by painting the panel flat olive drab and hand lettering in orange. The knobs are big brown phenolic jobs. Very Cold War cool - I'll take a picture of it tonight! Thanks Marc! Chub- never say "nyet"!
