Right now I'm between using R&R Cases (the BEST, no question) or Titan Cases (local, and probably a little less expensive). If you're in Chicago R&R is the way to go. Imagine something like this Quantum Scientific case, but without the blocked out section (the whole face would be 11 rack units of space): http://www.carry-case.com/images/cases/ImpactPanelCase.jpg And it would be aluminum extrusion edges, ball corners, and composite panels. Like I said, the all-aluminum Quantum cases are beautiful, and lightweight, but they are around $500 each for an 11-space shallow rack. Not bad, but my cases should be about half of that. At one time I was going to have Quantum Scientific build some custom cases but they were a bit too pricey for me (do a web search for them if you want to see some very nice lightweight cases). I have settled on having 11-space custom "suitcase" racks for my MOTM so that they are transportable in size. I should have some pics in a couple of months and will share them. Basically small flight cases kind of like the Doepfer portable racks. > >
