MOTM

Excuse me for my lack of promptness.  I hope I don't appear to be ignoring people.  I'm on a new computer now and have been fighting viruses and spyware to the point where I had to keep my System32 folder open, task manager on the screen, and a constant eye on my modem, so that at a moment's notice I could shutdown tasks and delete the never ending stream of mysterious exe, dll, bat, and other files that appear out of nowhere and start running.  I couldn't take the constant stress, it was hell.  Finally after updating my virus protection and installing the included firewall software, it seems to have stopped most/all of it.


Thanks for the positive comments on my mp3 demo.  I'll answer the questions now.

Actually there will not be entire CD of this stuff.  I'm working on a Well-Tempered Synthesizer #2 CD in the Carlos style though.  But I took a little diversion from that experimentation and did those renaissance pieces to try out some things and gain more experience.

MOTM is the only synth used.  I used basic synth modules, nothing particually unique to the motm.  The outboard gear used was an ART 15 band graphic EQ, Lexicon PCM-41 digital delay, and T.C. Electronics reverb.

It's hard to describe from that demo mp3 because it doesn't show all I did, and what might appear to be a bunch of separate pieces of music might just be different parts of the same piece.  But I did a total of three pieces (between 30 seconds to a minute each) excluding the misc breathy small pipe organ test.  I did one piece in a single night.  The other two pieces took about 1.5 days each.  It was all a fast rush job.

Plenty of practice from the Sage I guess.  BTW, the synth in the picture is a real keyboard instrument from the 1700's, so it was just asking for some synth panels to be added.

Perhaps I should talk to Paul S. first based on his e-mail, but I was planning on posting the full pieces after I get them pieced together and correct a thing or two.

As per earlier this post, it's not a CD, nor will it ever be.  But I didn't know you were on this list.  I've only seen you on the Dotcom list.  One never knows who is hiding in the shadows.
