For those wondering about how to do the conversion of their Wiard Noise Ring to MOTM format, your worries are over. There is no need to buy an assembled Noise Ring, tear it apart, void your warranty, and rebuild it into MOTM format. Instead, you can simply send all the parts you would have purchased anyway to Grant. He will build and test the Noise Ring in MOTM format behind your Stooge panel. We can do this individually or as a group. In either case, I think we should deliver your Noise Ring panel directly to Grant. This means Stooge drilling for all those panels we deliver directly to Grant. Let me know how you feel about doing this as a group or each person individually. I don't care. Clearly, this is a better deal that doing the conversion yourself since the cost to you is the same. See the letter below from Grant suggesting this is the best way to handle the conversions. Larry Hendry ----- Original Message ----- From: Grant Richter <grichter@...> I actually thought of a plan that might work for everybody. If the customer sends me a "kit" of the following: 1. Completely drilled and ready to assemble MOTM compatible faceplate 2. Six 100K linear potentiometers with mounting hardware 3. Six knobs 4. Eight jacks with mounting hardware 5. A check for $199.00 US dollars Then I will assemble, test, warranty and ship the module like any other Noise Ring. That way I can be sure they are assembled and tested correctly. Best Regards, Grant Richter Wiard Synthesizer
