Heh, one of my coworkers sent me this URL a few weeks ago. Seems to me the musicality of the piece has little to do with the hamsters, which serve primarily as random function generators. No doubt the hamsters could be replaced with six sample & holds with slewing circuits, and, coupled to the same music generating algorithms, produce equivalent music.
