Lights, action

2003-10-18 by Roger Rossen

Larry!

Now you are the last person that I wanted to distract from an
otherwise full-plate of things to do!

Yet thank you for your presence! I just was starting to think that
the rest of the list all went on a camping trip together or
something....

I think that the fine sandpaper (or steel wool) thing would also
work. I was just initially going for as 'even' of an effect as I
could at first - it probably doesn't even matter though...put the
dang things in your pocket, with some sand, for the next wash cycle,
etc....

whatever works obviously - I was just trying to do my part in
bringing the world together a wee bit more on the whole LED thing!

Yes - I am a sick man....a very sick man...

As far as your lighting project goes - thats definitely something I'm
thinking about too especially with the cabinet issue still being
somewhat undefined as of yet. My idea is to build an extension for
the top-most cabinet (of the same wood) that hangs over the front and
has recessed lense type lites (movable). I would think also that
they would have to be dimmable too - as lighting seems to be an
extrememly crucial factor to the whole creative vibe thing,
etc....explaining why pro studios go to such length with their
lighting quests.

I'm not real familiar with the 'cold-cathode' type lights you
mentioned- I'll have to do some R+D. Luckily in the Tech Services
group where I work, there's a lighing expert guy who may be able to
point me in the right direction

And of course I'm just into the whole lighting aspect too - as I
divulged in my previous post!

And then your miniwave CV idea - thats cool - I gotta put that on the
list now too!

Geez, we really should probably hook up sometime soon regardless of
parcel deliveries or whatever.

Great to hear you've been in building mode too - I've gone crazy the
last few months putting together about 20 motms, starting to stuff
some CGS boards, (I still gotta start my Oakley quest) and now I'm at
the mod and design stage for some of my own ideas - which painfully
slows everything down to a crawl....urgh!!!

This whole thing is like a virus or something - which is absolutely
horrible for me as I've already long-since established my viral
obsessive-ness with the whole keyboards/music/studio/CDs/bootleg
videos thing which is WAY outta hand as it is now!!!

I still think I could get rich staring a 12-step program for us type
folks. The wives/girlfriends would pay handsomely - eh? And I'd
charge them twice as much - only because I have one too!!! ha ha

Cheerio,

Rog
