Re: MOTM Duduk?

2003-10-13 by coyoteous

So, does the masked duduk synthesist wish to go public? :-)

I still think the link was to the wrong file or it's semi-practical
joke. Gasparyan's "I Will Not Be Sad In this World" (produced by Brian
Eno) is one of my all time favorite recordings. Peter Gabriel brought
the duduk (or "mey") out relative obscurity by using it on "Passion."
Now it is very cliched sound, used for anything Middle-eastern, as
phrases are available on a number of Sample CD's, etc. Anyway, unless
proven otherwise I consider this to be a REAL duduk. As good as they
are, I easily spotted Eldhart's recorder as synthetic (especially the
vibrato/tremelo).

That's very very nice. Anyway the artist could be talked into
talking a bit about the patches assembled?
