I'd like to have one of these myself and I plan to build one if Paul or someone else doesn't first :) My plan is to use a wave table and some counters. You'd shift the phase by adding or subtracting from the counter. The counter would point to an address in the wavetable. The rate of the counter would control the frequency and the offset of the counter would control the phase. This is very similar to my idea for a Fourier series generator and also very much like Paul's forthcoming Cloud Generator. I'm planning on getting a stooge panel for this in the next run although I haven't built the circuit yet.
