I've recently been in contact with the, Jim Michmerhuizen, author of the ARP 2600 users manual. I think this is one of the best resources for learning how to use modulars. Though it is written for the 2600, it really applies to any modular (unlike the old Serge modular manual, written by Rich Gold, which is also a great resource but is written specifically for use with the peculiarities of the Serge). I always recommend this book, and he seems like a nice helpful guy too.

I've found he's selling copies of the ARP 2600 manual at his website for $40. He takes Paypal as well as checks and money orders.
