Not to start a 'horror story' thread (everyone has one), but: a) I've shipped maybe 200 Fed-Ex packages. They lost only 1, and that was going to a rural location in New York state. The only thing I don't like is that the shipping charges to foreign lands is TOTALLY RANDOM. Meaning, a 40 pound box to England is maybe $110 while the same box to Greece is $350 and to Poland $700. b) I've shipped over 1500 USPS boxes with ZERO issues. c) I hardly EVER ship UPS, just because in the past (until 5 months ago), the only UPS drop-off location was 15 miles away and the service there was marginal. I do *receive* about 10 UPS packages a WEEK (parts) and generally don't see that many torn-up boxes. The only personal bad experience was watching a UPS driver drop my Synergy down a flight of stairs :( d) DO NOT ship Fed-Ex Ground. They are NOT even Fed-Ex employees: they a local people who paid a fee (like a McDonald's) and Fed-Ex is NOT LIABLE for packages sent this way. I have seen 2 overturned Fed-Ex Ground trucks, packages all over the highway, the last 6 months. Paul S.
