MOTM

Sorry to take up your bandwidth with this non MOTM question, but I figured it 
would be worth it to ask the most synth knowledgable group of guys I can.

I have an old, non working minimoog, serial number 1862  (Moog music, inc. 
not Moog musonics). It belongs to my dad and Ive finally convinced him to let 
get it fixed after over a decade of pleading. Im looking for the best semi-local 
tech I can find. I live near NYC. I contacted Fred MCNiff who referred me to 
"Mike at sales@..." I am assuming this is moog custom engineering. Has 
anyone delt with them? Anyone have a recomendation for repair? Are there any 
magic words I can use to get Fred to do the work? like "Paul from MOTM said you 
should do my repair." Fred said he "isnt taking on any new repairs at this 
time"
