As a new user two things are very attractive about MOTM modules: All the CV plugs are on the bottom, this keep clutter around the knobs down. The knobs are large, easy to grab, and well spaced. IE: The opposite of Doepfer layouts. I have tendinitus, and ergonomics are of great importance to me. I want good clearance around knobs for performing. In addition, a sea of black MOTM modules with nicely spaced knobs is a beautiful thing. It looks sexy. That being said, I've thought about putting colored washers around certain jacks to distinguish CV from Audio paths, and using slightly smaller knobs on less important functions to distinguish them. I also find that lights do help in debugging patches. It's easy to see at a glance which envelope is not setup properly, or which LFO is too fast. Much easier than scanning knobs. I personally am not a big fan of rainbow color schemes in equipment, if you must use colored knobs, keep them simple ;) 2 cents, --mikes
