Oh, okay. Sort of like how a laser printer can't come within 0.22" of the edge of the paper. I know what you mean by the reverse anodizing. I have a rack mount DBX Model 222 noise reduction unit that has a reverse-anodized faceplate. I guess it's pretty cool-I do like the look of anodizing in general. But I think the MOTM style painted faceplates read better in low light, which is how I work (for mood). I certainly wouldn't want to jack up the module prices just to get the stripe on. Tape will be fine. I like a good sea of knobs, too, but I also like to step back and see where the modules begin & end.
