Just a note-I used Chartpak tape on a synth faceplate that I was building waaaaay back in 1979 (I'll put some pictures on my web site soon), and five or six years later the stuff lost it's "stick" and started to peel up, leaving a gummy slug trail on the panel. Discolored, too (I used white and a bright orange, and the orange faded). I didn't care so much because by then I was looting that synth for parts, but it's sad to see how that panel _didn't_ withstand the test of time. Chartpak just might have had a problem sticking to the paint I used, I'm not sure. It always worked great on paper for drafting, which is what it was designed for. But I'm going to avoid it this time around. I was hoping that pin-striping from an automotive store (my wife's idea) might stick to metal & paint better. Pin-striping is probably available in chrome, too, if that's your flavor. Mr. Fulton uses Fry's Colored Wire Tape, but I'm not sure where that is purchased or how it's working for him. >->->I use the 1/8" Chartpak art tape. We're trying to figure out a better solution.
