Personal opinion...
I think that all of the modules
have their place in "someones system" the beauty of choice here and the
"modular" concept is that we can choose and build which ones we really want. The
better part of it is that we have a guy like Paul who takes our inputs in future
idea's of modules... and sometimes actually makes them... we also have the
"flexibility" that if Paul doesn't have it or make it... and has no plans to do
so... we have still other options in modules... thus keeping with the true
concept of a Modular Synthesizer. try doing that with Roland or any other
"big" company...
I probably wont own "every" module that
is available... and I will own several of them that are... but that's just my
ticket... I just really like it all... I forgot how much fun I had building
things of intricate detail... I still have the 101 module in the pana-vise,
stuffed with the 100k resistors... haven't even soldered them yet... but I am no
hurry... I have no schedule to follow, I just want to finish them all
correctly...
