I highly recommend the PICDEV system for $209. Includes a GREAT demo board/programmer (ADC/LCD,
breadboard areas), the ICD2 in-circuit degug (connects via USB or RS-232) and WinDoze software.
The part # is DV164006. You have to be *careful* which PIC parts are currently supported. I use
18Fxxx parts. www.newark.com stocks them.
