Well Larry, It looks like you're just going to have to shrink the inside AND the outside of the barrel<g>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -----Original Message----- From: mate_stubb <mate_stubb@...> [mailto:mate_stubb@...] Sent: Saturday, February 15, 2003 9:17 PM To: motm@yahoogroups.com Subject: [motm] RE: Cable buyers - read this comment Well, I prefer the shrink inside the barrel... >>>> when patching alot, and grabbing the plug by the barrel and the shrink all at once, there is NO pull on the internal soldering joints, <<<< But this is also true when grabbing the barrel with the shrink inside. If you grab the wire instead of the barrel you deserve any trouble you get! >>>> and the barrels tend to not come "un-screwed" ever... <<<< True, but I haven't had trouble with plugs coming unscrewed anyway. My main objection (besides the fact that I think shrink over the barrel looks kinda funny), is that I can't repair an end without destroying everything. And THAT is a big deal for these really stud patch cables. I want to be able to keep these going for the next 20 years. Moe Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/
