I will be out of touch until late Sunday. So, if you don't get my normally speedy Stooge-like response you will know why. When I get back we will start the cable ordering process. I am going to post a form on my website in MS Excel. You can just plop in your choices of lengths, cable colors, heat shrink colors and e-mail it to me. I still need to get a feel for what these things are going to cost to ship. For those not MS enabled, I will put a PDF file up you can fill out and snail mail to me. I have sample cables on the way to me. I expect them here when I return. I plan to cut them open and check out all the quality issues. As you all probably know by now, the cable is Belden 20 gauge, 95% braided shield. The connectors are currently planned to be the Neutrik equivalent of Switchcraft 280. All cables will have the synth tech logo on the heatshrink (Thanks Paul). You will be able to pick your own colors combinations and lengths. I am planning to offer 1,2,3,4, and 6 foot. E-mail me if you have any particular grief over not having something a different length. And, the consensus seems to be heatshrink UNDER the barrel. E-mail me if you disagree. As of today, here are the prices: 1 foot = $5.35 2 foot = $5.50 3 foot = $5.75 4 foot = $5.95 6 foot = $6.45 I say these prices are "as of today" because I am working on the possibility of reducing those prices by 40 to 50 cents per cable. The national sales rep for the cable company that did not win the bid for our cable business is so distraught over not being a # 1 class Stooge supplier that they swear they will beat the prices of my best bid by 40 to 50 cents per cable. HA. We will see. When I get back, I intend to give them the chance. For now, count on these prices unless I say otherwise. Thanks to everyone that took time to send me estimates for cables. Looks like I will be buying about 1000 cables. I think delivery will be VERY fast. If people are quick about returning orders and payment, delivery will be only 2 or 3 weeks at the most. When I get back, I will also be posting photos of the cabinet kits. I have the prototype and I need feedback from those who are interested in buying. We can make changes. I'll entertain all input. Then, we can start talking about what these puppies should cost. The cabinet builder is nibbling at the bit to get started. I am hiring a hypnotist to go to the work shop and chant, "I don't want to make a lot of money, I just love to build stuff with walnut." :) Larry Hendry
