Ceramic 104? Umm, I'm pretty stale in this but I think "104" can be read as a exponent, so it would be "10 to the -4" which would make this a .0001uf cap. I think a .1uf ceramic would be HUGE... Maybe not... None the less, in order to get the properties that you need to suppress the spike, you need to use a nonpolar electrolytic... Mark
