In the United States:
FICA = Federal Insurance Contributions Act.  Commonly known as Social
Security.  In the US we pay a separate tax that amounts to about 7 to 8% of
earned income.  It provides some income to those retired, some income for
disability when one cannot work, and medical care for those over 65 and
those that cannot pay.  Last I checked, one could not get any good Italian
fica with it though.

In Italian FICA means "PUSSY". and yes... sometimes people have to
pay for it :) but... seriously, what's FICA? and don't write it in an
italian list :)
