hello there, my method, though i've not had chance to test it properly - would be to feed some of your audio directly into the CV in of your motm700, but first filter it to get a good trigger signal, so you could use a band pass filter, the EQ on your mixing desk, an expander, or probably a motm410 with the rate & sweep set to zero - using any of these methods you should be able to zoom in to the rhythmic elements you want to trigger from. then route a voltage source into input A of the motm 700, this voltage could be from an ungated motm800 with sustain set to 10, or could be the voltage offset from the 830 mixer, connect output X from the 700 into another 800 gate input, then adjust the motm 700 threshold control until you get a suitable trigger. the output of the second motm800 should be your sync-ed voltage ramp. of course dub is rather difficult to sync to live, and i'd much prefer to dump the whole thing into a computer, and sync via midi, but if you're DJing this stuff live, then i'd really consider getting an envelope follower / gate extractor, and a band pass filter cheers paul b sheffield
