Ben, the power supply you need will be significantly more complicated than the one that could connect with a barrel connector. The power supply you seek will be a 4 wire connector. You are probably not going to find a cheap computer style switching supply because most of those have +/- 12 volts and +5. If you want a quality linear supply to do the job, and have some left over room for loadability (maybe to power a few MOTM modules), This is the smallest one I found to do the job: Mouser catalog: page 652, triple output, International Power 597-TAA-16W $57.75 Marlin Jones www.mpja.com has the same supply listed as part number IHTAA16W for $51.97 You may find one of lower loadability that does not have 5 volts. But, this is the smallest one I found with 5 volts. Its loadabilty is 2A @ 5V, 400ma @ -15 and 400 ma @ +15. One catalog quotes 12 volt. But, this type of supply has an adjustable output that can be set for 12 or 15 volts. You could always power the +/-15 volts from you MOTM supply and hack in a cheap switching supply for the +5 volts. But, given your self-described electronics experience, perhaps that might not be a good plan. I recently purchased a video synthesizer, an A2V audio-to-video convertor (http://www.audiovisualizers.com/library/store/a2v/a2v.htm). It is fully assembled except it needs an enclosure, needs jacks wired up and a power supply. Can anyone recommend a good power supply for this application? I prefer a wall-wart with a barrel connector and a matching inlet I can put on the back of the enclosure, then wire the inlet to the board. According to the manual, the specs I need are: +5V 200mA max +15V 100mA max -15V 100mA max Does anyone have any recommendations? I was doing a search for this earlier but turned up a ton of info and a lot of it was Greek to me, so to speak. I know how to solder but am otherwise an electronics idiot; yes, I buy all my MOTM modules assembled... Thanks in advance. ---Ben Vehorn Your use of Yahoo!
