My home computer is named "computer".  The os software running on it has
various names depending on what it is (or not) doing relative to my mood.
Work computer is named "Bastet" after my cat.

My modular synth is called "modular synth" or just "modular" for short,
or "this insane collection of noise makers and modifiers that is probably 
too expensive for a hobby" for long.

Probably I'm just unimaginative.
