RE: [motm] MOTM Front Panel Power Switches

2002-08-31 by Simon

Why don't you guys calm down a little!

I was asking if there was a solution available to give a front panel
power switch, with rear connecting AC power. Like what
synthesizers.com sells.

I never said anything about wiring 240V mains AC up to the front panel myself.

Surely this can be achieved without having to run mains AC to the front panel.

Could a front panel switch control an AC relay within the power
supply, using separate DC power only for the front panel switch
circuit or even just shorting a line to ground?

Thanks
Simon,
