I have prepared ample kits for the 310, 900, 850, 110 (!) and 300 to ship out over 80 kits on order, over the next few days. This weekend, I will work on 800s and 101s. This will drop the existing module kit backlog over 85% over the next week. The quick-turn, low cost dual VCA with lin/exp switching on VCA #1 and continuously variable AM-to-RM on VCA #2 is progressing rapidly. This will "officially" replace the '110. It has 1/2 of the parts of the '130, so it can be a "regular" kit. I am trying to get it into 1U (3 knobs, 2 switches, 6 jacks). Although not final, it is looking like the price will be no more than the current '110 ($139) and will most likely be around $129. I should have a working prototype by the end of the month. I also "moved up" the '490 release date, as demonstrated by Mike's demo files. I needs a minor pcb tweak, which will be done at the end of next week, then pcbs will be ordered. There is also some minor resistor tweaking, to match the behavior of the Moog 904A modular LPF. I also want to compare it on the AP with Moog filters from other sources (for SNR). Mike's initial reaction is that the '490 does not exhibit noise at the output to the degree other Moog ladder filters do (not naming any names). Paul S.
