I could be wrong, but I would think there would be a gain control on the
forthcoming Envelope Follower module; since its most obvious purpose would
be to extract amplitude information from acoustic sources; it's natural to
assume that there'd be a "x10" or so input gain control.

Several of John Blacet's modules have input gain controls for this reason.

i had actually forgotten about that - but i really meant something with a
bit of dynamic control
come to think of it the oakley wavefolder might do the trick - and i suppose
the forthcoming MOTM wavewarper (if we had any info...)
