MOTM

I have seen in a couple of pictures that people are
using black plastic (?) washers behind the heads of
their mounting screws.  Are there any pros or cons to
this?  What kind of washers are people using?

Does it really help from scratching up the panels?

It seems to me that they should be a standard part of
every MOTM kit and module.  Why doesn't Paul include
them?
