This list is a forum for sharing ideas and information. I'd be remiss if I
did not share the following:
The following link is an excellent resource for learning more about
electronics. This site is not specific to analog synthesizers but it does
help one understand many of the circuits used in synthesizers. There are
some wonderful animations that very graphically demonstrate circuit
operation. The tutorials are worth logging a lot of time on this site.
Drill down to "TELEVISION" for example and see animations of how your TV
works. Fascinating. See how the location and value of bypass capacitors
affect circuit operation, in an animated setting.

How does an opamp work? How does my television work? What is an
oscilloscope, how does it work, when might it be useful, and how do I use it?
What exactly is a capacitor? Thousands of such questions are answered in
very clear language. This site was not created to show how smart the author
is (although he is VERY talented). Rather, it is an electronics resource for
the curious. Mr. Williamson avoids the mumbo-jumbo and presents facts
concisely. The site is very light on math - he tries to convey information
without dragging one through a college-level engineering math education
beforehand. This site is one of my top-10 picks of sites worth seeing more
than once.
I have no affiliation with this site so I am not plugging the products they
have for sale. (But if the website is any indication, their products might
be most excellent.) Mr. Williamson is a very nice person and if you do have
a question, he is quick to reply.
Enjoy!
